Credits, Payments & Refunds
Effective: 9 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-09
Summary
- Songs are always free. Credits pay only for the live video call.
- 1 credit = 1 person on a room's video call for 1 minute. The host pays for everyone; the room's Ambag pot is spent first.
- Credits never expire, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or cashed out.
- App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded under Apple's and Google's policies. Web purchases are non-refundable except for errors, technical failures, or where the law requires (tell us within 30 days).
- Deleting your account forfeits any credits left in it.
This page is part of the Yoke Terms of Service. Yoke is operated by QUEAY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES.
1. What credits are
- Credits are a virtual item used only inside Yoke to pay for time on a room's live video call.
- Credits are a licence to use a feature of Yoke. They are not money, e-money, a deposit, or a stored-value instrument.
- Credits have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred between accounts (except through the Ambag pot described below), or exchanged for money, goods or other services.
- Credits never expire while your account exists.
2. What is free and what costs credits
| Feature | Cost |
|---|---|
| Searching songs, building the queue, playing YouTube videos | Always free |
| Joining a room as a guest | Free for you (the host and Ambag pot pay) |
| Live video and voice call in a room | 1 credit per person connected, per minute |
We never charge you to watch or play YouTube content.
3. How rooms are charged
- At the start of each minute, Yoke charges 1 credit for each person connected to the call (host included). A room with 5 people uses 5 credits per minute.
- The room shows how many credits it uses per minute and about how many minutes are left.
- Credits are taken first from the room's Ambag pot, then from the host's balance.
- The host needs at least 2 credits to open a room.
- When the room cannot pay for another minute, the video call ends. The song player keeps working for anyone who stays.
- Your credit history is in the app under your wallet.
4. The Ambag pot
"Ambag" means to chip in. Anyone in a room can add credits from their own balance to the room's Ambag pot.
- The pot pays for the call before the host's credits.
- Everyone in the room can see the pot total and who chipped in.
- When the room ends, unspent pot credits go back to the people who chipped in, in proportion to how much each person gave. Rounding is done in whole credits.
- Pot credits that have been spent on call minutes cannot be returned.
5. Buying credits
- iPhone and iPad: through Apple In-App Purchase. Credits are consumable purchases.
- Android: through Google Play Billing. Credits are consumable purchases.
- Web: through PayMongo, using GCash, Maya, QR Ph, debit or credit card, or online banking.
Prices are in Philippine pesos (PHP) unless your store shows otherwise. Before you pay, you will see the price and the exact number of credits you will get. The number of credits for the same price can differ by payment method and platform because payment fees and store commissions differ.
Credits are added once the payment is confirmed. If you paid but did not get your credits, contact us (see section 10).
Yoke never sees or stores your card number, wallet PIN, or bank password. These are handled by PayMongo, Apple or Google. See our Privacy Policy.
6. Refunds
App Store and Google Play purchases
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Request them at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play's refund process. If a purchase is refunded, the credits from it are removed from your balance.
Web purchases (PayMongo)
Web purchases are final and non-refundable, except:
- where a refund is required by Philippine law, including the Consumer Act (Republic Act No. 7394);
- where you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate payment); or
- where credits were charged because of a technical failure on our side (for example, a call that never connected).
Email info@queaytech.com within 30 days of the payment or charge, with the subject "Credits issue", your account email, and the transaction ID or date. Depending on the case, we will refund to your original payment method or restore the credits.
7. Adjustments, chargebacks and fraud
- We may correct your balance if credits were added or charged in error.
- If a payment is reversed, charged back, or found to be fraudulent, we may remove the related credits, and if the balance is not enough, limit or suspend the account.
- Accounts banned for serious violations of the Community Guidelines or for fraud may lose their remaining credits.
8. Account deletion
If you delete your account, any credits left in it are forfeited and cannot be restored or refunded. Use up or keep your credits before deleting. Records of your purchases are kept in anonymised form for tax purposes. See Delete your account.
9. If Yoke closes
If we stop offering Yoke, we will give reasonable advance notice in the app and explain how unused credits will be handled, in line with Philippine law.
