Cookie Notice
Effective: 9 October 2026
Summary
- Yoke sets one cookie on the web: a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
- No advertising cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels.
- The YouTube player, PayMongo checkout, and sign-in pop-ups from Google, Apple or Facebook may set their own cookies.
This notice explains how Yoke, operated by QUEAY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES, uses cookies and similar storage on your device. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. Cookies set by Yoke
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
yoke_session | Keeps you signed in on the web. HttpOnly and Secure, so page scripts cannot read it. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out or it expires ([CONFIRM SESSION LENGTH, e.g. 30 days]) |
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for signing in, it cannot be switched off while you use your account. We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics.
The web app may also keep simple preferences (such as camera or microphone choice) in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
2. Mobile apps
The iOS and Android apps do not use cookies. They store your sign-in token in the device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, encrypted storage on Android) and simple settings on your device.
3. Third-party cookies
| Service | When | What it may do |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube (Google) | When a song plays | The player runs in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may still set cookies or use local storage on your device when a video plays, and may show its own ads in the player. See the Google Privacy Policy. |
| PayMongo | On the payment page | Cookies needed to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. |
| Google, Apple, Facebook sign-in | When you choose that sign-in option | Cookies on their own sites to sign you in. |
| Agora | During a live call | Connects your call. Does not set advertising cookies. |
These companies control their own cookies. Their privacy policies explain how they use them.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the yoke_session cookie you will not be able to stay signed in on the web. Blocking YouTube's cookies may stop some videos from playing.
